How the robot trades gold
FireStorm Gold Scalper is built on a solid and well-designed trading strategy that uses a Grid Hedging unique strategy, runs best on the XAUUSD currency pair. However, thanks to its flexible settings, it can also be used with any currency pair or indices like US30 and NAS100. This EA can be used with both Regular Broker Accounts and Cent Accounts, making it accessible to traders with varying levels of experience and account sizes.
We have optimized the EA specifically for GOLD, providing two presets to suit different levels of risk: low or medium.
The robot works around the clock, so it follows the metal through the Asian, the London and the New York hours. Moreover, it only needs one chart per pair, and the H1 timeframe gives the best behaviour.

Both runs started from the same $1000 balance on a live FBS account. However, the medium preset accepts a deeper drawdown of 24.62%, while the low preset stayed at 9.74%. Therefore, pick the one that matches your patience, not only the profit line.

FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRESETS. INSTEAD, KINDLY LOAD ONE OF THE TWO PRESETS PROVIDED.
Load the preset from the input tab before you attach the robot to the chart, because the values work as a set. In other words, one changed number can break the balance between the grid and the account size.
MUST READ THIS:
- When it comes to scalping, a broker with low spreads is key. Ideally, you should look for a broker with a spread of 0 pips or under 5 pips. It’s important to check the spread of your broker before you begin trading.
- If your broker has a high spread, the EA will not perform as expected, resulting in lower returns or, in cases of excessive spread, it may not open trades at all.
- Using a VPS is not mandatory, but if you choose not to use one, you will need to keep your computer running. If you decide to use a VPS, keep in mind that you will need to ask your broker for recommendations and assistance with installation, a VPS located close to your broker’s server will help to minimize latency . Note that we do not provide private VPS installation services.
Installing the FireStorm Gold Scalper on MT4
First, open MetaTrader and click File > Open Data Folder. Then copy the robot into the Experts folder inside that data folder. Next, restart the platform or refresh the Navigator panel. After that, drag the Expert Advisor onto an H1 chart of XAUUSD and load one of the two presets. Finally, switch AutoTrading on, and check that the smiley face appears in the corner of the chart.
Before you run the FireStorm Gold Scalper
Keep $1000 per pair on a standard account, or $100 on a cent account, and set the leverage at 1:500. In addition, watch that the spread stays at 2 or below during your session.
